Yankee Fans: What the hell is wrong with you?

The New York Yankees have two returning starters from last year left in the rotation.  Joba Chamberlain and Chien-Ming Wang are the only starters on the Yankees.  That is it. Phil Hughes is still not ready, though he did show some signs last night in the AFL. Ian Kennedy is not going to be a starter for the Yankees, especially since nobody in the clubhouse likes him.  Carl Pavano? Ha!  Not sure if you have noticed, but Mike Mussina has retired. Andy Pettitte regressed last season and suffered through arm issues, and the Yanks have not made a commitment to bring him back, but they probably will.  Not one pitcher in the minors is ready for a call-up to be a 4th or 5th starter on this ball club. The Morning After: November 5, 2008…A New Day

The cursor on this post spent about an hour blinking before I could figure out what to type first. It is a difficult task to pen words to capture an event as you are watching it happen on the television in front of you. Three or four paragraphs were typed and erased….thoughts were jotted down – crumbled up…and thrown away. I tried to be eloquent…I tried to be stoic…I tried to be funny…and I tried to be objective. Reality is though, there is only one word to accurately depict what we watched last night.

History.

I know it seems like a cop-out to reduce the election of our Nations first African American President to a single word…but to me it seems like a bigger cop out to try to sensationalize an event that would be better served by shutting my mouth and letting that event stand on it its own merit.

Who voted for who and what each of us believes should not play a part in what happened…because it has happened…and now is out of our control….it is confirmed that “change” has a new address…1600 Pennsylvania Avenue is the new home of Barack Obama
